History

AB Nyvångs Mekaniska Verkstad - NYMEK - was founded more than thirty years ago by a couple of partners with experience of repairing and building equipment for the vegetable industry, which was, and still is, dominating in the area. In the beginning the company focused on constructing special equipment, e.g. a parsley chopper, but gradually progressed to serial production of composite machines, for export as well as for the domestic market.

To develop machines after ideas, that prove a great deal of revolutionary thinking, the son of one of the founders established Rauschning's Maskin Tekniska AB - RMT - in 1994. After a very satisfying result, especially with the knifepeeler RMT 8 Disc, the two companies were united in 2000 to co-ordinate and consolidate the production.
